DOE Loan Programs Office takes 5% stake plus $2.26B loan-to-equity at Thacker Pass
The Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office finalized a $2.26B loan to Lithium Americas with an attached 5% equity stake in the company and a 5% economic stake in its Thacker Pass JV with General Motors. The site is the largest known lithium resource in the US.
